Lucy Starr is a British indie singer-songwriter. Born in Yorkshire, she now resides in Liverpool, UK.
She performs at many acclaimed music venues across the UK with her music achieving global radio
play including BBC Radio (UK), iHeart Radio (North America) and ABC Radio (Australia).
In 2018, Lucy released her debut EP ‘Bittersweet’, praised by Christian Carlisle (BBC Music
Introducing) and Adam Winch-Furness (BBC Radio 1 & BBC6 Music)
In 2023, Lucy starred as a contestant on ITVBe’s Dinner Date, performing her original song ‘Shame’.
In 2024, Lucy released ‘Pull The Rug’, an empowering indie rock anthem about being romantically
blindsided. It received significant global radio play, earning the #1 spot on aBreak58 music charts, the
leading international platform for indie artists. This caught the attention of media outlets (BBC Radio
Merseyside) and (Liverpool ECHO). It was praised by Ben Coley (Absolute Radio), comparing her to
Hayley Williams (Paramore). Lucy also performed at many festivals including Tramlines Festival and
International Pop Overthrow Festival at the world-famous The Cavern Club.
2025 saw Lucy’s debut trance track in collaboration with Amos & Riot Night titled ‘Calling Out For
You’. It hit the #10 spot in the Beatport Trance Main Floor charts. She also released ‘Wrapped Around
My Little Finger’, described by Jodie Rose Bryant (BBC Radio 1) as an ‘anthemic bop’. Later in the
year, Lucy was a support act for Miles Kane and She Drew The Gun.
In terms of content creation, Lucy regularly collaborates with Liverpool BID and Liverpool ONE. She posts Day In The Life, fashion, GRWM, bar/restaurant reviews, makeup tutorials and singing videos.
