Darren Suarez

Choreographer

Born in London and raised in the North West. Darren Suarez continues to drives his passion for dance as both a performer and choreographer. Upon achieving a BA Hons Degree at ‘The Northern School Of Contemporary Dance’ Darren has gone on to achieve great heights in his professional career in both Television and live theatre.

Darren's flagship choregraphy and direction fuelled Liverpool's Capital of Culture Celebrations in 2008: powerful, original, dynamic choreography opened the World Fire Fighters Olympic Games held at the Liverpool Echo Arena.  Darren inspired the iconic "Portrait of a Nation" as Movement Director and Choreographer, bringing to fruition a proud celebration of the 17 partner cities and the vision of the nation's youth and aspirations - delivering a spectacular curtain close at Liverpool's St George's Hall.

As Artistic Director of House of Suarez, Darren choreographed and directed the biggest Vogue Ball ever held in Liverpool - recognised as a  landmark of Liverpool's 2008 Cultural Programme, with the support of Homotopia.  The success of this project has cemented the reputation of House of Suarez, providing a platform of strength and ambition from which the House can grow.  A personal highlight for Darren was an invite to appear on the Paul O'Grady Show, delighting an even wider audience with his Vogueography vision alongside the Sugarbabes.
